Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
Prepare your your baking dish measuring approximately 9x13"
In a medium size bowl add together your berries, sugar, flour and lemon juice and mix
In another bowl add your dry ingredients: flour, sugars, and cinnamon (optional) and salt. Keep your oats aside for now
Add your butter to the dry ingredients and with a pastry cutter or fork mix together until mixture is mixed into small pea size pieces that resemble crumbs.
Stir in oats and set aside
Add your crumb mixture evenly
Drop fruit mixture on the top and spread out
Sprinkle with sugar 1/4 cup granulated sugar
Place in preheated oven and bake for about 40- 45 minutes until top is golden brown and bottom is bubbling
Remove from the oven and allow to sit for a few minutes to allow fruit to thicken
Serve warm out of the oven and top with ice cream or whipped cream
If you make this recipe ahead of time it is ok to serve at room temperature or reheat for about ten m15 minutes int he oven
