Ingredients

  • 6 cups of flour
  • 2 tbs yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cups warm water about 110 degrees
  • 4 tbs sugar
  • 1/3 cup canola oil

Instructions

  • Place water , yeast and sugar in a stand mixer mixing bowl and stir. Let it sit for 3-5 minutes until yeast foams
  • Add hook attachment and add four gradually until all ingredients are incorporated and continue to mix for 5 minutes. This will knead the dough and it will be smooth.
  • place in an oiled bowl and allow to rise in a warm spot until doubled in size. (About 1 hour)
  • after first rising turn dough onto floured surface
  • cut into 12 equal parts. Roll in to a long 12 inch piece. Make a knot, tuck one end into the bottom one end into the top to form the roll
  • Allow to rise again until doubled in size.
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees while they rise
  • Bake for 15- 20 minutes until golden brown
